Motorists travelling northbound on the M8 Motorway through Newtown are currently experiencing significant delays following a vehicle breakdown just past the St Peters Interchange.

Transport for NSW has confirmed the incident, which has led to the closure of one northbound lane (Lane 1 of 2), causing traffic congestion in the area. A reduced speed limit of 40 km/h has been implemented to ensure safety for commuters and emergency personnel.
