🚧 Newtown: Enmore Road Night Closures for Crane Work

Newtown motorists are advised of upcoming night-time road closures on Enmore Road, necessitated by planned crane work in the area. These works, reported by Transport for NSW, will affect traffic conditions between Princes Highway and Bailey Street.

The road closures will be implemented in both directions on several nights throughout the week. From Sunday to Wednesday, closures will occur between 9:30pm and 5:00am. On Thursday nights, the closure period will be slightly later, commencing at 10:30pm and concluding at 5:00am.

Drivers navigating through Newtown during these times should be prepared for altered traffic conditions. Specifically, the traffic lights at the intersection of King Street and Enmore Road will be flashing. An alternating 'stop/slow' system will be in place to allow vehicles to pass in one direction at a time.

Motorists are strongly encouraged to check local signage, exercise caution when travelling through the affected zone, and allow for additional travel time to accommodate potential delays. The works are being carried out on a state road.
