⚠️ Bago Bluff National Park Roads Damaged After Severe Weather

AlertsNsw National Parks 1 min read

Residents and visitors heading to Bago Bluff National Park are advised of significant road damage following severe weather events earlier in 2025. Several roads within the park have sustained erosion, impacting access to popular attractions.

According to a recent alert, access to the Bago Bluff Lookouts and Rollover Road is now best approached via Milligans Road, with a turn onto Rollover Road. For those wishing to visit the Lorne Flora Reserve Walking Track, the recommended route is from the east, using Blackbutt Road.

Crews from the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) are currently on-site, working with contractors to repair the affected roads and trails. Park users are urged to exercise caution, as heavy machinery and plant may be encountered during these works. Visitors should drive carefully and be mindful of the current conditions.

For further information or inquiries, the public can contact NPWS Port Macquarie on (02) 6588 5555.

Bago Bluff National Park is a significant natural area for the Wauchope region, offering scenic views and walking tracks. The recent weather has highlighted the challenges of maintaining infrastructure in these natural environments. Further information on national parks in NSW can be found on the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service website.
