Nowra is set to host an evocative new exhibition, 'Accumulated Landscapes: Shoalhaven,' by renowned artist Bonnie Porter Greene. This exhibition continues her unique exploration of regional Australian landscapes through a captivating series of layered oil paintings on paper.

Following its debut as 'Microcosm, Outback,' at Goulburn Regional Art Gallery in 2023, this project sees each artwork evolve with a new layer of paint added for every exhibition, specifically responding to the environment of each location. The paper itself becomes a canvas of history, accumulating materiality until it reaches its physical limits.

Porter Greene's work delves into how our experience of one landscape can shape our perception of another, and how these intricate relationships develop over time. The artist, an Ad. Dip Fine Arts – Painting (Distinction) graduate, has received numerous accolades, including the Shoalhaven Arts Board 'A Sense of Place' grant and the Shoalhaven City Council Australia Day Award for Outstanding Contribution to Arts & Culture in 2022. Her current role as a Learning Officer at Bundanon deeply informs her artistic practice.

The exhibition will be on display at 12 Berry Street, Nowra, from Friday, July 26, 2025, until Saturday, October 18, 2025.
