Gosford is set to host a powerful and vibrant art exhibition as part of the fifth annual Coastal Twist Festival. The 'Strength in Unity Art Exhibition' will be showcased in the newly launched FunHaus Factory's Basement Gallery, located at 124 Donnison Street, Gosford.

This year's exhibition aligns with the festival's theme, bringing together a compelling collection of works from professional, mid-career, and emerging artists across the Central Coast. Visitors can expect a dynamic mix of ceramics, painting, photography, multimedia, and sculpture, each piece offering a unique, locally rooted LGBTQIA+ perspective infused with a signature Coastal Twist flavour.

The exhibition proudly features works by young creatives aged 12 to 17, alongside an all-ages category, reinforcing the festival's commitment to intergenerational artistic expression. Themes of identity, resilience, transformation, and community are explored throughout the collection, with some artists challenging the status quo through political statements, others reflecting on personal struggles and journeys to empowerment, and many sharing intimate moments of change and self-discovery. Together, these works create a rich and honest tapestry of coastal lives and queer creativity.

Celebrated artist Sandro Nocentini, a Sulman Prize winner and internationally exhibited painter and sculptor, serves as guest curator for this year's event. Nocentini brings over three decades of experience and a deep passion for nurturing diverse artistic voices, from grassroots collectives to commercial galleries. The exhibition runs from September 29 to November 2, 2025.
